Receipt printer is not printing

If your receipt printer appears offline or stops printing, use the printer test to separate a network connection problem from a receipt-assignment problem.

Check this first

1. Make sure the printer is on, has paper, and does not show a hardware error. Close its cover completely.
2. Make sure the POS device and printer are connected to the same local network.
3. In FreshlyCart POS, go to Settings → Printers and select the printer.
4. Make sure Active is on.
5. Select Print Test.

If the printer test fails

FreshlyCart may show Unable to connect printer when it cannot reach the saved network address.

1. Compare Printer IP Address with the IPv4 address currently shown by the printer or its network configuration page.
2. If the address changed, enter the current address. Do not add :9100.
3. Confirm with the printer manufacturer or network administrator that the printer accepts ESC/POS data over TCP port 9100 and that the local network does not block the connection.
4. Select Print Test again, then select Save if the test succeeds.

Do not configure internet port forwarding for this workflow. The POS connects directly to the printer on the local network.

If the printer test succeeds but receipts do not print

1. Open the printer and confirm that Printer Job is Cashier.
2. If printer profiles are configured, under Printing Assignments select Manage Assignments. In Select Printer Profiles, make sure the printer is assigned to the active profile that prints receipts.
3. Save any changes and test a receipt again.

If the issue continues

Record the printer model, its current IPv4 address, whether Print Test succeeds, and the exact message shown by FreshlyCart. Ask the person who manages the printer or local network to confirm that port 9100 is reachable and that the printer accepts ESC/POS commands.

FreshlyCart does not currently publish a model compatibility list. A selectable model name or generic paper-width choice does not confirm that every printer feature is compatible.
