Manage product availability by location

Use product availability to make an item available or unavailable for sale. Available for sale applies to every sale channel, while Available here controls a specific location. Stock quantity is separate from both controls.

Update availability

1. In Back Office, open the product:
   • For a retail business, go to Management → Inventory → Items.
   • For a restaurant, go to Management → Menu → Products.
2. Keep Available for sale on when the product should appear in sale channels. Turn it off to hide the product everywhere.
3. Under Inventory by location, turn Available here on for each location where the product can be sold.
4. Turn Available here off for a location where the product should not be sold.
5. Select Save.

Turning Available here off preserves that location’s stock quantity. A product must be available globally and at the current location to be sellable in FreshlyCart POS.
