Add a product to FreshlyCart Inventory

Add a product in FreshlyCart Inventory by scanning its barcode or entering its information manually. The starting quantity is saved for the location selected in the current Inventory session.

Before you begin

Confirm that FreshlyCart Inventory shows the location where you want to add the product.

Add the product

1. From the FreshlyCart Inventory home screen, select Add Products.
2. Select Scan Barcode and scan the product, or select Manual Input.
3. In New item, enter the product’s Name.
4. Enter the Barcode, Price, Cost, Unit, Category, and SKU when they apply.
5. Under Locations, select the locations where the product should be available. Leave the selection empty to make it available at all locations.
6. Enter the starting Quantity for the currently selected Inventory location.
7. Optionally enter an Inventory Alert Quantity. This stores the product’s low-stock threshold; it does not establish how notifications are delivered.
8. Select Save.

FreshlyCart creates the product and its stock quantity for the selected location. If the barcode or SKU is already in use, the product is not added with that duplicate value.
