Configure payment methods

Configure the payment choices that FreshlyCart POS presents during checkout.

Add a payment method

1. In Back Office, go to Settings → Payment Methods.
2. Select Add payment method.
3. Enter a recognizable Name.
4. Under Payment Method, choose Cash, Card, or Other.
5. Turn on Active to make the method available at checkout.
6. Select Save.

Payment methods apply to the business account; the current form does not provide a location assignment or display-order control.

Update availability

1. In Payment Methods, open the method.
2. Update its Name or Payment Method type when needed.
3. Turn Active on or off.
4. Select Save.

An active method appears in FreshlyCart POS after the POS receives the updated account data. Turning it off removes it from the active checkout choices.

Recording is different from processing

The selected type determines how FreshlyCart records and reports the payment. Configuring Card or Other does not establish a connection to an external terminal or prove that an external provider moved funds.
